Easter Celebration

Easter, like Christmas, is not in the Bible (except for a mistranslation in the King James Version). It is not a holiday that Jesus, nor any of his disciples, celebrated (nor would celebrate).

Although traditional Christianity celebrates the resurrection of Y’shua of Nazareth (calling it Easter), the holiday is celebrated following pagan practices associated with worship of the Goddess Eostre/Easter — a fertility god that predates Christianity and its celebrations (which also predate Christianity) include symbols such as eggs and bunnies — symbols of fertility.

No devout follower of the God of Israel follows pagan traditions of any kind, because they are forbidden. To do so is in direct conflict with instructions directly from God not to follow pagan traditions. To do so is to sin.
